PUBLISHER'S NOTE
HOW DO YOU HANDLE THE PRESSURES OF LIFE AND BUSINESS THIS YEAR
DECEMBER 2020
Whew, what a year?
The best word I can come up with to describe this year is “Pressure”. The pressure has been on for this year. Many of us lost loved ones due to COVID-19 and other unrelated issues. Our hearts and prayers go out to those families who have suffered a loss due to this virus. I pray that you will find the strength to proceed and continue to carry out the legacy of their memories.

Let’s examine the word “Pressure”. The dictionary defines it as: intimidation to make someone do something. I once heard someone say the mind is at its best when it is under pressure. Zig Ziglar paints the perfect picture of pressure during this speech many years ago. Let’s take a trip to Acapulco. Imagine getting an invitation to go to Acapulco, on an all-expense paid vacation and staying at one of the top resorts in the country. However, the issue is, the plane is leaving tomorrow morning. Are you ready to go?

The average person is not necessarily prepared to go on such a vacation at such short notice. But given the circumstances; all inclusive vacation to Acapulco, top resort, and a free plane ride your mind begins to think of several ways to make this trip happen. You rearrange your schedule, and all of the non-essential things are put aside, you quickly complete task that would typically take several hours or days, in essence your mind begins to think outside the box. You are essentially put under “pressure”. You somehow figure out what needs to be done to go on this trip.

Pressure makes people do something. The establishment of this magazine was all about doing something. I am not the most qualified person to publish an Entrepreneurship Magazine. As a matter of fact, I am the least qualified given my background and history as an Entrepreneur. However, in Mid-July, I was faced with a major life-changing decision and the pressure was on. I could have stayed in the funk of that situation, but I decided to do something that would challenge me and would bring value to the marketplace; hence, Tampa Pioneer.

The stories you will read throughout this magazine are real life stories. Each interview was structured in such a way that the reader was always in the forefront of our mind. It is important to me that you, the reader, can learn something from this magazine.
Tampa Pioneer is not just another magazine to set on the shelf, it’s a life-changing magazine full of articles about real people who have made the leap to become an Entrepreneur and are eager to tell their story in hopes of fulfilling two objectives.
